Medical tips
Calcaneal fractures can be classified into two types based on whether the fracture enters the articular surface or not.

Fractures that do not affect the articular surface,there are four types. 
1. Longitudinal fracture of calcaneal tuberosity
2. Transverse fracture of calcaneal tuberosity 
3. Anterior calcaneal fractures.
4. Fractures close to the talocalcaneal joint.
The fractures affecting the articular surface can be divided into two types.

1.Partial collapse fracture of the articular surface of the calcaneal. 

2.All the calcaneal articular surface collapsed fractures.
