Calcaneus Locking Plate type IV has 8 holes (53mm), small 12 holes (59mm), large 12 holes (68mm).The anatomical calcaneus locking plate has 11 holes (60.3mm) in small size,11 holes (67.4mm) in medium size, and 11 holes (72.6mm) in large size.

Surgical methods

After anesthesia,the patient was placed in the lateral position,keeping the affected side on the upper side,routinely applying a tourniquet,and making an "L" incision on the lateral side of the calcaneus to directly reach the position of the periosteum.Sharp dissection of the cortical bone attached to the calcaneus surface does not require electric knife.Attention should be paid to the effective protection of the sural cutaneous nerve and the peroneal longus brevis tendon.Kirschner wires with a diameter of about 1.5mm were drilled into the tip of the lateral malleolus,talus neck and cuboid bone in order to fully expose the surgical field and protect the flap that has been lifted.The fracture fragment of lateral calcaneal wall was uncovered to fully expose the subtalar joint and calcaneocuboid joint,and the anterior,middle and posterior subtalar joint surface was observed.The collapsed articular surface was pried up and closed with the subtalar joint,so that the length and height of the calcaneus could be restored to the greatest extent.Both sides of the calcaneal body were pressed with the palms of both hands to restore the width of the calcaneus bone.Kirschner wire was used for temporary fixation,and the reduction was observed under the fluoroscopic condition of C-arm machine.According to the actual default condition of the bone after reduction,it was decided whether it was necessary to fill the allogeneic bone.Anatomical calcaneal titanium locking plate and matching screws were used for fixation.
