Advantages
1.The surgical trauma is small,the operation is simple,the periosteum is not peeled off or as little as possible,the blood supply of the fracture end is less destroyed,and the fracture healing rate is high.
2.Surgical fixation does not involve the epiphysis,and has little effect on growth and development.
3.The operation does not fix the joint,the ex fix is firm,and the joint function exercise can be performed early to reduce the incidence of joint stiffness.
4.It is easy to remove,without incision again,without anesthesia,to avoid the pain of second operation and increase the economic burden.
5.For Gustilo type Ⅱ and Ⅲ open fractures,the external fixator has the advantage of reducing the infection rate because it is far away from the fracture end.
6.The external fixator has the advantages of three-dimensional fixation,stable fixation,random needle piercing,flexible configuration,and less complications.
