The locking plate for the greater tuberosity of the humerus is fixed with small screws for cross locking, ensuring effective fixation. This low cut anatomical design can avoid shoulder impingement. The locking plate can also provide ligament suture fixation. It is not easy for screws to loosen or retract, and it is not easy for secondary displacement to occur after fixation of bone fragments. More suitable for elderly patients with osteoporosis, early and safe functional exercise can be performed.

Generally, the fracture block is large and often in a comminuted shape. Indirect violence, such as avulsion fractures caused by muscle traction, often results in smaller fracture fragments that shift upwards and backward, and are often a complication of shoulder joint dislocation.
