The scapula is a triangular flat bone, which is attached to the posterior outside of the rib cage and interlies between the 2nd and 7th ribs. It can be divided into two sides, three edges and three corners. The ventral or costal surface is opposite to the thorax, which is a large shallow fossa, called the subscapular fossa, and the transverse ridge on the dorsal side is called the scapular spine.
The scapula is wrapped by muscle both anterior and posterior, and fractures are rare, accounting for about 0.2% of all fractures.Scapular body fractures are often part of multiple injuries.The following clinical manifestations are common.
1.limited to the scapular region,it is especially obvious when the shoulder joint is active.The tenderness was mostly consistent with the fracture line.
