PEEK spinal cages, also known as interbody fusion cages, are used in Spinal Implant surgery to replace damaged discs and provide an ideal environment for two-vertebral fusion.
PLIF PEEK cage is suitable for orthopedic lumbar and lumbosacral segmental fusion, mainly including degenerative disc disease and spinal instability, degenerative/isthmic spondylolisthesis, revision surgery after simple discectomy, pseudarthrosis formation or spinal fusion failure. PLIF PEEK cage is not recommended to be used alone in Spinal Fixation, but should be used in conjunction with screen-rod system.
The indications of TLIF cage are spinal degenerative diseases and spinal instability, revision after discectomy, pseudarthrosis or failed fusion surgery, degenerative spondylolisthesis and isthmic spondylolisthesis.
Features and Advantages
1. Higher applicability,a variety of heights are available (5-8mm).
2. More precise placement, the PEEK material is X-ray penetrable, and the Metal Bone Pin is inserted both front and back, allowing the doctor to better determine the placement of the implant.
3. More stable after operation, the barbed tooth shape can provide good stability and avoid backward movement of the implant, which will affect the surgical orthopedic implant effect.
4 Solid cage fusion can eliminate motion, increase nerve root space, stabilize the spine, restore spinal alignment, and relieve pain.
5. For the bone graft window, sufficient amount of bone graft material was filled through the PEEK spinal cage to promote bone fusion.
